Well, sorry @JoAnne65 , but there is a mod from MTS (no camera fade on Sims), where you can actually see the hands of your sims!
The following pictures can give you an impression, but they don´t have the right angle to pretend the view is exactly from the first person Sim, because I don´t shoot such pictures.
