Forever a Teen?

I have a sim that was friends with a guy in high school and I've just been waiting on him aging up to see if they'd be compatible as Young Adults. But he's been a teen for forever now. I finally checked using Master Controller last night and he's got -16 (that's negative) days to aging up. What the what?

He's going to perpetually be a teen? Is there any way I can age him up? Am I completely blanking on something really obvious? Or is he broken somehow? Is this too many questions?

Lol no really, thanks for the reply. I don't mind that she's still alive but I was concerned that the really high negative number meant something bad. And I want to change the elder lifespan, but I don't want to just essentially kill her. But since it's so long my town has a bunch of elders walking (slowly) around. I know SP is still working though because I get notices of sims still having lots of babies.

    Fixed that, sorry. ;)
  • I almost always exclusively get stuck aging checks on toddlers, which I just attributed to the townies being bad parents!

Some bad CC makes more sense, although I quite honestly can't be bothered to sort through mine and weed out culprits. I only have .packages so I can avoid the launcher and even then I merge everything and while I do keep backups it takes me so long to merge stuff that I just don't really even care :p

Another fun riddle: If you tell a teen to stop being so lazy, what are the odds that it works?

The exact same odds that you got the first 30 times you told them that. You know, it's amazing for how many questions that is the correct answer. :p

I haven't been a teen for 4 years now, but I can still tell you the answer is never :D

Exactly! It's the time of one's life when you do what you feel like. There will be a time for chores and responsibility later when you're an adult. Maybe.
  • @igazor, @cororan :D 30x? Try around 400-800... ~smirk~ :D

My kids are going to need therapy. :D

Generally stuck aging check usually means that there's something blocking the sim (whether they got stuck somewhere...or what, I have no idea, but I had to sometimes TA that particular sim so that the game would resolve the stuck aging issue.
  • My original sim I posted about is now married (to one of Bella Bachelor's grandkids, I can tell because he has her lips!) and has two kids. The friend from high school was still a teen. So I invited him over so I could age him up. When he arrived he had aged up in his own. So problem solved. Too late. But whatever.

My elder sim is still alive and kicking and earned another badge for me. So that's good I guess. :)

    Edit: used the wrong word
