Well, I have my game set up to only a 1% chance of them appearing. So, I can live with the very few I get. I like the hair color and eye color additions, that are typically, different from the kind I make from my sims, and if I feel I need some new funky genetics in my legacy, I'll use an imaginary friend. Overall, when I have 6 kids and 6 of them get them it's annoying, and unless I plan on making them real, they definitely NEVER leave the inventory. Sometimes, I get the option to give them away to people as gifts. If I really don't want a kid to play with them, I'll stick them on the roof, and just forget about them. lol
AS for your adult. Yeah... It needs to be sent away and then just toss it in the inventory and just go on with your life as if it never existed. (For me this some times can get annoying, because I like to keep my inventory nice and neat and clean with items that I know I will use.)
Overall, if I'm in a slow play type of mode, then yeah IF are cool. Otherwise.. If I have other plans they just get in the way.
