Gilt Sparrows - a Fifty Foal Challenge

The mist seemed to hang around for several days after Misty left. Wren saw no point in letting it keep her out of the pool, and for safety, she took her imaginary friend with her. After all, her parents had told her never to swim without letting someone know!



Katie and Everett were busy working on their plans for the future. They had already decided they were moving to the town of Moonlight Falls, and taken a trip to look for a suitable house and barn. While there they spotted a very attractive mare with a lilac tail. They had now arranged to lease her from the werewolf who owned her and one evening Fairy was delivered to their farm.

Now that there were two mares again, it was time to do something about Evanescence. Katie had never quite dared to put a saddle on Misty, or ride her, but the colt was different. He made it clear that he wanted to be trained by pushing in whenever Katie or Everett tried to saddle one of the other horses. So now Katie saddled him up and took him riding. He didn't really need much in the way of training, but galloping on a unicorn was unlike anything else.





Then, one gorgeous, sunny morning, Evanescence decided he had learned all he needed to know. He grazed a bit, then went around bidding goodbye to the family.





Then with a twist and shimmy, he returned to the wild his mother had come from.
