Before leaving, Marcie headed out to a post-graduation party - one last fling before hitting the real world. One of her acquaintances dared her to kiss the host. Considering how many people had an aversion to Simbots, Marcie had never kissed anyone before, but it was a dare, and after all she might never see the guy again, as he didn't live in Lucky Palms, so she took her chance. . . and Mahmoud kissed her back!
Before things got too interesting, however, the moving van showed up and Marcie headed home, with an addition to the family collection of gnomes. While loading the boxes on the truck, the one containing her school books fell over and spilled out a gnome in cap-and-gown! As soon as she'd greeted everyone at home, she turned him out with the crew. For some reason the Magical Mr.s were all gathered around a light pole staring at it. With a shrug she dropped hers off and went to call Mahmoud. As soon as she hung up, she got a call offering her a job as a game designer! Although she'd start by testing the buttons on the controllers.
The front yard was still pretty bare, although the actual pastures had been tended carefully enough to establish a decent lawn. Which didn't stop the horses from coming out front and complaining.
Katie and Everett went out for a movie and dinner that afternoon. Marcie realized she was low on scrap and went out to harvest some at the junkyard. Meanwhile Binky and Wren decided to be a bit more than just friends.
A week later, Marcie invited Mahmoud to visit, and gave him the grand tour, including the attic loft. Then they went out dancing, and to look at the stars.
Everett took Adam to a dog show, where the glossy canine strutted his stuff. Katie explored the downtown park, where she met a mime, and a toddler apparently being babysat by a dog. Quagga kept with family tradition and foaled in the middle of the night. Zipper had a lot of stripes on one side, and a big white patch on the other.
