Got My Firefighter Career to Work!
I haven't really done much with firefigher career in all the years I've been playing but decided to try. Was so disappointed to learn here and find out in the game that the career seemed messed up big time.
My firefighter wasn't able to fight any fires, etc, yada yada. Lots of players had this problem, it seems.
So I decided to get rid of my fire station and replace it (someone had suggested that here). Wasn't expecting much. WOW! It seemed to have worked big time!
My fire fighter is getting to small and large fires. I'm seeing gameplay I've never seen. The breaking down of doors, for instance. There is one thing I've done that is different from before. When the fire alarm sounds, I click on the fire "job" and that seems to kick-start the scenario. It's automatic after that - except my sim did try to play in a puddle instead of fighting the big fire once. Silly sim! I put that right and finished the scenario.
However, most of my fellow fire fighters seem to have quit and gone into magic :D . There's just my sim and another guy out of originally 6. But overall, it's such an improvement. I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm at level 6 sliding into 7 and I've got 3 rewards so far. I was stuck at level 3. Happy simming!
