Have you moved your Sims between worlds?
I have not done this yes, but I would love to hear how others did it and why.

Every generation for a change of scenery. I use the handy NRaas: Traveler mod.
I had about 7 worlds connected at one point but started "fresh" simply by packing the household up the old school way. The family tree was a bit of a mess (not related to Traveler) and I didn't feel like fixing it.
