HELP ME PLEASE!! Fire won't stop!!

Question

A Fire happened in my Sims house from the fireplace.....and the firemen came and extinguished it but the fire will not go away!!   It spread to the foyer and kitchen but once the flames are extinguished it just starts burning again,  the fire alarm goes off, and i get the notice of a fire on my lot.   My Sims are going crazy and they have been doing nothing but extinguishing flames for the past Sim day and not going to work!!  How do I stop this fire?  is this a glitch?

that happened to me! luckily i was in france, so when my vaycay was over my sims just left. 6 natives died in that fire.

i have NO idea how to stop it, i tried everything.
i guess try to evict them or somthing, but i doubt you can with a fire going.

yea i can't do anything while fire is in place.  ugh i don't know what to do!   i left the game in midst of fire.   lol.   I would hate to start all over,  i have a legacy going.  grrrr

hmm you could try moveobjects and deleting the fire. it worked in sims 2, so i guess its worth a shot

i tried.  nothing worked.  i deleted the family and starting all over.  It really sucks because i put alot of work into that family and now i'm starting fresh.   all because of a glitch.    grrrr
