Yeah. I usually just plan the party and invite family, coworkers, and close friends. Not the whole town, because my sims don't tend to befriend (or even be acquainted with) the whole town. Sunset Valley has too many sims for that.
That wasn't the whole town. Most of them were related to each other. The bride was one of 15 and most of her siblings were married with children. There were also a few family friends there but not many.
