Help with the Vampire T-shirt

Hi, my game has been crashing every time I start it up, so was lucky enough to get into "plan outfits" to see if there was something in there (plus I wanted to see if the shirt I purchased showed up yet and it hasn't after downloading it 4 times) anyway, I saw something I didn't buy and clicked on it and it was the vampire t-shirt! So I went to my library to try and delete the Bad CC number that coincides with the Vampire and nothing comes up when I do a search.

Does anyone know what the name coordinating numbers are to the Vampire T-shirt are and what it is called in my game uploads? I want this thing off my game :(

Thanks all!

Here is what I'm talking about : http://sims3.crinrict.com/badcc/en/BadCC_Clothing.html

Top Row......

Thanks!
  • Not to rain on your Custard-less parade, but lots of recs and not being German or Russian doesn't mean it's clean. I've found GirlDollDressed on EA-featured downloads before. And my husband's just pointed out that one of the Sims sites I visited in the last few days on his PC almost installed a slew of viruses and Trojans on our system, according to his anti-virus thing. Wish I knew which site had done it! I don't visit very many and they all are big-name fan sites.

Custard's got a short readme on ModTheSims that you would do well to take the time to look over. It's not a hard program at all to learn to use.

For those who read the readme and are still lost:
    0. You need to run this program to scan your downloads *BEFORE* you install the download into your game.
    1. Open Custard. It'll bring up a scan window.
    2. From its file menu navigate to the file you want to check and open it. If anything in there is red (excepting worlds, which always have red and won't scan quite right), it means a bad file. Don't bother fixing it; just toss it. "Thumbnails" are fine. "Sims 3 Package" is (I think) Store content which may show up as separate lines; AFAIK this should be okay and you needn't worry about it. CC is good about announcing itself and will have its code number (that super long number you've seen in this thread) and usually its name. If it's marked "Pattern" that can be either CC or Create-a-Pattern; CAP can make corrupt patterns, so I delete both to be on the safe side. "CAS parts" are CC clothes/skins/hair. Something marked "Object" is a CC object.
    3. Once you've identified the CC in the file, click the line containing that CC to uncheck its little box. This may be terribly time-consuming on houses, especially Exchange and TSR houses (oh my GOSH they love loading those down with CC). Once you've unchecked the boxes of stuff you don't want, go to step 4.
    4. If you unchecked any CC, hit file--> save.
    5. Close the scan window. Open Custard again to do another scan.

You are then free to install the file in your game in the normal manner.

Another program, Dashboard, works to detect Blue Lot (a serious awful horrible corrupt file that can destroy your game) and find corruptions and conflicts between packages. I'm not totally sure what conflicts do but suspect they're behind that weird map view where your houses show up without roofs. I used to see conflicts a lot in AroundTheSims and VitaSims stuff; when I removed their objects (*especially* lights) from my game, it cut down on the "X-Ray House" thing a lot. It seems obvious to me that enough conflicts will likely cause crashes and other issues. Broke my heart, too. I love ATS and VS CC. Good luck on everything :)
  • Hi, yes I realize that the Custard program will not help me now, just hopefully in the future....

But for now, I've deleted almost all my CC and here are how my games are running with CC:

Showtime, won't load up and just freezes and crashes, can no longer access..........

Pets, my husband is a vampire, a veryyyyy creepy one not just a vampire lol (this has to be from the vamp shirt)

Ambitions, my husband is charcoal with blonde hair......

I haven't tried the other one in Nightlife but I'm sure it's messed up some how....

any suggestions on what Bad CC or what my next step should be? Thanks!
