When I have finished using moveobjects on on a sim I teleport the sim (testingcheatsenabled on, and shift-click on the ground) and he/she will get back in sync with the map. It the sim was placed on an OMSP, pause the game and use moveobjects on to move the sim off of the OMSP. If you let the sim step off it can disappear and teleporting may not work.
