How did my household acquire thousands of simoleons overnight?

It was somewhere between midnight and 1 AM in game. My household was sleeping. Before they went to sleep they had about 850 simoleons. I had time on fast forward, and was reading the little notificati...

Thank you very much, @Igazor! I have never noticed the Accounting Report option - I will look at it the next time I'm in game to see if my sims got an inheritance. But the bug you mentioned is, I think, the likelier option because not that many townies have died at this point in my game.
