How do you abandon/cancel a World Adventures challenge?

I have taken to killing off challenge issuing sims using NRAAS mods when I can't work out how to do the challenge - taking the head shot, the picture of France for example. There must be a nicer, easier way to abandon an irritating challenge that's showing in the adventure journal and blocking any other challenges being accepted.
