How do you manage your sims' outfits?

I will usually have a different everyday, formal and athletic outfit for winter if the town they live in has cold weather. Sometimes I will also have a second warm weather outfit for everyday and formal for my young adult and adult sims. If I get new clothing I will probably try it out on my current sim. So overall I don't change the clothing that much.
