I do whatever I feel like doing at the time. Sometimes I choose traits that will help them with whatever my plans are for them. Sometimes I choose traits that neither help nor hinder them. Sometimes I randomize them. This is more like how I choose traits too. It's never the same just depends on how I feel or what I want to accomplish.
