I am in this same situation. Love Sims 3 1.67 on my desktop (windows 7) but have not installed Sims 3 on my new laptop (windows 10).
I want to install Sims 3 at 1.67 on my laptop. Anyone else running at that level on their windows 10 system?
I have been using W10 with a disk installation since July 2016. I do have Origin on my laptop but it is hog tied so it does not automatically update or appear at start up. As EA no longer update installations when you install you will manually need to update to version 1.67 You will also need to make sure your launcher has the last known good update as well. I am not IT literate but there are plenty of people here who I am sure will be very pleased to help you. Once installed you may need to adjust the graphics card settings.
