The lighting in CAS is that bright that it's hard to know how the details will look in the game, at least for me. I usually have to go back and forth a few times. Different skins also make a big difference regarding how detailed or smooth sims look. The custom skin I use as default replacement makes skins look rather smooth, but I understand that this is not everyone's thing.
