How to stop my boss from quitting??

Just when you thought sims players couldn't come up with any more weird questions, here's my contribution to one of them.

Anyway, I have this one sim in the modelling career, it's a custom career created by MTS creator rspn99 and I used Nraas Career to make it work. One of the prerequisites is, you guessed it, relationship with the boss.

When I first moved my sim to the town of Monte Vista there were no NPCs working as a model, as expected. Therefore, I created a sim whom I designated to be my active sim's boss. I gave her a job in the modelling industry and promoted her immediately to level 9 using the Nraas > MC > Intermediate > Career > Level route. She was all happy and sunshine about it and even bragged about it to my sim who works under her because his overlord just made her his designated boss but anyway, after some bragging and schmoozing from my sim's part, she walked around her place, sat down and watched TV for about 10 in-game minutes before a pop-up showed up informing me she just got a new job as a 'Rabid Fan' (gee, thanks, Story Progression), literally seconds after I assigned her a job via Nraas MC!

This cycle has repeated itself for about 2 times as I am typing this down already and I realised my old method simply isn't going to work because apparently the game (particularly Nraas SP) is not happy with her earning $300 per hour without any skills.

I decided to try and configure her caste settings a little bit (Nraas > Story Progression > Caste Options > 'STOP QUITTING FOR PLUMBOB's SAKE' (a new caste I created dedicated to her)) and toggled both the option 'Career: Allow Find Job' and 'Career: Allow Progression' to false. Could someone tell me if this would be enough to stop her from getting a new job? I don't give a flying plumbob about her getting demoted or promoted as long as she STAYS in the modelling career being a good sim earning a decent salary and, most important of all, be my sim's boss.

If she quits one more time I'm using total annihilation on her.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance :)

  • Career: Allow Find Job > False would have been sufficient. And you didn't really need a caste for this, you could have used SP > Sim Options directly on that one sim. :)

The main reason SP does this is that it is by default configured to help find inactive resident sims jobs that are in line with their LTWs, unless it has a very good reason not to.
  • Aaah, thank you @igazor! I am very new to exploring SP, especially the caste settings. I wanted her to be an exception out of the entire neighbourhood who is not allowed to change jobs no matter what. Great to know that I could achieve same with Sim options, will try it out now :)
