@Mikezumi I'm mostly just up with all the NRAAS bits and bobs that deal with advanced genetics. (SP population, and SP extra)
On top of that I also JUST got a hair colour mod for better hair colour blending (because like you said sometimes it just tosses and random out there) THIS ONE
It really seems to be working out well. The mixes are pretty varied and interesting (I check out the babies born in the town as well).
