It's been ages since my sims have been able to travel because every time I try to the whole game stops responding and I have to force quit it, but now I downloaded the Nraas Traveler mod expecting it to help (I also have overwatch because this game has been going on for months) and it didn't stop making my game crash. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I really miss being able to have my sims travel it's a big part of the game.

Is the problem with just one particular save game, or all of them and new games too?If it's all of them including new games, then I don't know what to do.If it's just that one save game and you've been playing that save for a long time, it might be a memory limitation issue. The game can only use so much RAM (no matter how much you have installed) and if it surpass that limit it crashes. I've had this happen in my own game when trying to travel. I can check the Task Manager\Processes tab and see how much memory the game is using, and if it gets over 3.2-3.4 GB I won't be able to save (error code 12) and if I travel I'm at risk of the game crashing. This only happens to me with one save game that I've been playing for 4+ months. Other saves and new games work fine.You can try lowering graphics settings down to the absolute minimum, exiting, reloading the game, then try traveling, saving (with a new name) once traveling is successful, setting the graphics back, then reload the game. That worked a few times for me.Good luck.

You might also want to clear your caches. Those are .package files with cache in the name. (There are about 4 or 5 of them depending on how you're patched/installed EPs.) Never delete a folder with cache in it, however. When you restart the game, they will regenerate in a healthy way (as they can become corrupted, which interferes with traveling.)Another problems is the DBTravel.package file that it in the neighborhood save file. When that gets too big or gets corrupted, it too will cause traveling problems. However, if you delete it, you'll find that some information is lost, such as images. But if you like to travel, it's certainly worth it.The NRAAS mods do help with a lot of the problems with traveling. But sometimes you also need help by deleting those files I mentioned.

@anneyonghaseyo, I'm assuming that you play The Sims 3, so if you do, you would be better off asking this question over in the TS3 Tech section as there is a thread for new members to post in as this is an older thread from 2014 plus the thread that I will give you the link for is a newer recent thread with active members that can probably help... :)
