I have to agree with @SimplyJen. EA takes a lot of criticism for many different things, but by reputation their customer service with account issues like this is actually very good. But it does have to be done by way of a realtime conversation, whether that be online chat or telephone callback. And I also agree that the OP shouldn't have to repurchase anything if they are intending to stay with an Origin controlled install.
