I grab a meal out of the fridge a lot, especially for sims working a late shift. They might be out on the town in the early afternoon, giving concerts or buttering up the boss or whatever, but I want them to have that perfect meal moodlet while pursuing a promotion. And if they're standing on the sidewalk, they don't look for somewhere to sit, they just eat quickly and then put down the dish without trying to clean up.
I also love the tag exploit. In big families, I definitely don't want to devote all that time to building relationships, so the kids just take care of it themselves. Sometimes the first thing a kid will do when aging up to child is go around and start a game of tag with each relative, and by the time everyone wakes up in the morning they're all friends. Plus, the kids often roll wishes to be good or best friends, so they get easy points.
