Is it necessary to get my graphic's card recognized?

I had to "repair" my game files to fix an issue with one of the expansion packs.
And it reset my srg files.I always struggle getting it recognized especially with the graphics rules part.
How important is it to get it recognized? Is there any benefits to do doing it?

  • The benefits range from slim to none. It is much more important to cap frame rates (this wouldn't have become undone) and address the 32 MB texture memory override (this might have, we would need to see a fresh deviceconfig.log from your TS3 user game folder for that not a dxdiag).

But you shouldn't have to keep redoing this. A better practice would be to keep a spare copy of those two edited sgr files on hand so they can put back into place should they ever need to be once the card is again recognized.

I did, but when I copied those backup ones into my game, the game wouldn't launch for some reason, unless I backed up the wrong copies. :#

    Here's my device config,says found 1 matched 0 not sure where I went wrong.lol
  • Edit: Think I got it all fixed.I'm going to delete all my current backups and put copies of these freshly done ones in
I might have copied the wrong ones, I had about 3 or 4 different copies in my saved folders.XD
