I'll try copy-pasting my Sims 3 folder somewhere else as it is. Then install the world, play for a while to see if it's manageable without the missing EPs. If it is then great. If it isn't then I'll just revert back to the Sims 3 folder I backed up.

Good luck and have fun. I just rename my sims 3 folders and keep them all together in the same place. It took me a while to work that out. It's up to you how you manage it - just have fun testing your new world.
