Is the exchange safe? What about The Sims Resource? What are some good cc sites?

So I heard that the Sims 3 exchange is the worst place to download from. But I really like the clothes,hair,etc.I don't download lots or Sims, because that is bad and i know that. But how bout the clo...

No, use the Sims2pack clean installer... well, I still use it to pick and choose which CC I want to install (that is in Sim2pack format like lots).
