If my TS3 game was crashing a lot, and I couldn't play the game at the best graphics level because of my computer, I would be all over TS4 with its new features. I would be able to ignore a lot of other things about it and hope it gets better with EPs.
But I am not having those problems with TS3, and while I do love a lot of TS4's features they are not enough to make up what it has abandoned with TS3 and TS2, and there are things about the game that I don't like. These will not be improved with EPs.
So TS3 is more popular than ever for me. I am enjoying it so much now.
TS4 may turn out to be an enjoyable game on its own terms, but I am not paying full price for it. I'll just buy it all up near the end of the run.
TS3 has changed how I play The Sims. TS4 does not support the way I play The Sims.
