Is there a way to quick start the sims 3 on 1.69 patch version?

Hi,I'm planning to come back to the sims 3 soon. I tried to run the sims 3 yesterday.
1. I log into origin, and click on the sims 3 thumbnail.
2. Then, it opens the sims 3 launcher.
3. Then I have to click the start button on launcher every time I want to start the sims 3 which is annoying...

Is there a way to quick start the sims 3 with just one click? Thanks very much :)

  • No, there is no way to bypass that startup sequence on Patch 1.69. It's exactly what the patch does, tie the game to Origin and enforce its usage and that of the Launcher to start the game. And it's partly why so many of us have found ways to be on Patch 1.67 instead.

Thanks! Maybe are you running the sims 3 on 1.67 patch too? To go down to 1.67 patch, I need to re install all packs by DVDS only. I regret to update up to 1.69 patch now. :(
  • I passed through those feelings of regret myself a few years ago and switched over to a Steam/1.67 install as I never had any discs for this game, my purchases were all digital. That required repurchasing the entire thing, the base game and all EP/SPs (except Katy Perry which Steam does not carry and I never had anyway) on the Steam platform. I would rather not have had to do that of course, but during one of their ~80% off sales that they run a few times a year, for me the entire thing came to less than $100 USD.

wow!!! I know the feeling from purchasing the sims 3 all packs 2 times. I was the same. I purchased most of the packs in Origin, so I had to buy all the DVD packs one more time. Even I didn't know the steam at that time, so I had to purchase almost of the packs by normal price. T,T What a wasting...

Thanks. I better reinstall all packs again with DVDs as I have used to do.
