Is there a work around for a lot issue?
I was putting in some residential homes, on some empty lots in Sunset Valley. One of the homes changed from residential to Owned. I'm guessing it has to do with renting a location when a sim goes on...

@crimsonnclover324 is correct. Change the lot type to Commercial, Save, then change to Residential.
This fix also works for the Apartment lot type that came with University Life EP. That lot type is also 'sticky'
