Is there any way I can permanently remove the Featured Items Folder?
Is this even possible? I don't even see the purpose of this folder, and I never use the store function in the game anyway.

No, not that I know of. You can remove everything in it though, and then take away permissions so it doesn't generate anything new inside it, closest you can get.
