I hope you figure it out! I know when my sim was bugged I couldn't even go into CAS after the birthday action. It would just spin and load forever. And when I tried with the earlier version (that I saved and then made a copy of) something else happened. I can't remember what exactly. I think maybe it wouldn't let me save her as a teen so I couldn't leave CAS with the bugged version. Or it could have been that she still couldn't sleep... but there was a reason I didn't just do that.

Thank you FrozenOJ for your suggestion, it worked like a charm! I wrote down everything and anything I could about Kenneth, made an Adult copy pre-birthday, and switched out bugged Kenneth for a working Kenneth 2.0 version. I was able to make everything the same as well: skills, LTRs, LTH points, job performance, etc. :)
I didn't age him up to an Elder in CAS (I wanted to make sure Kenneth 2.0 wouldn't glitch as well). So I traded them out as Adults and let Kenneth 2.0 age up by himself (I changed his age with mastercontroler so he would age up at the proper time) and it worked! He had his birthday and is quite a handsome Elder! :D THE KOOKS LIVE ON! I'm so happy right now! :D
