I always have that problem moving relics by hand in live mode. I think I eventually gave up and just clicked on the display and chose the option to place relics, then picked the ones I wanted out of the list and the sim will go to the display and place them all there in one fell swoop of the hand. That works for me. Then once they are on the display I can arrange them in buy mode without any problem.
