It's 2020 and I'm still buying stuff from the sims 3 store

Do not be ashamed,I owned the store forever ago and still bought from the store for others ever since. :p

As far as worlds Lucky Palms is a must have to many reasons to list why



As far as premium content the Bakers oven is wayyyy wayyyyy worth it

9 new cobblers to make

15 types of pies to bake

6 all new breads

2 new cakes

4 new types of cookies

plus can make cinnamon rolls and cupcakes

@CravenLestat, Yup, most definitely, @Featherbelle...gave me that Bakery for Christmas one year and I use it ALL the time (or I mean, my sims use it all the time). Now I'm looking for more "plantables". I wish I was this much of a green-thumb in real life. It would cut down on the grocery costs. :mrgreen:

I decided to dive head-first into CAW while you were away. Made my own little island world for a Castaway story, I'm doing. :D And seriously thinking about tackling Blender.

Anything to keep this 50yr old mind young. :D

That is why we sim @Nikkei_Simmer to make up for our lack of RL skills.


In the Sims my simself flies to China and Egypt all the time.


In real life I am like William Shatner in terror at 37,000 feet freaking out looking for a gremlin on the wing taking pills and kicking stewardesses.

oh yeah you'd be surprised at how much money you save when you start growing your own food. i do a mixture of growing staples in the garden + foraging for wild edibles. i live in a rural area so there's food literally everywhere i walk just laying around waiting to be harvested.

i save THOUSANDS a year.

oh and i adore the bakery, i use it all the time too.. or my sims also do :P and the bistro.

i edited some of the town thingies and just replaced the bar with the bistro or the coffee thing with bakery.

I have yet to get the Restaurant stuff from the Store. But the next one I'm eyeing is the Bohemian Garden...gotta have those plantables. One of these days. :smirk:

As an owner of the store, I can say there are a lot of really great items there. If you like dressing your Sims, one thing I would recommend getting are all of the clothing and hair items which didn't come as part of a set (just sort the catalog by 'oldest to newest' and they'll show up first). There are some really fabulous items there (especially for the YA Female).

I have owned the Store since october 2014 so there is nothing more for me to buy, and that's just as well because TS3 is only 32 bit, and it has no room for any more content, it would only lead to more Error 12's, and that is something I certainly don't want.

I don't know why the ads disappared, but I think it was really REALLY sad that they did. :'( I loved those pretty little blue boxes :) they paid for somewhere around 60-70 % of my Store content.

When I was SimPoint hunting back then from March until October 2014, I reached the upper limit 35000 SimPoints three times, and I bought quite a few things on the way up each time, so I estimate that I got a total of around 120000 SP's from running all those ad videos, I never actually watched them though, only started them and then collected the SP's when they finished.

@SuzyCue72, I was disappointed when they removed them in or around june/July 2017 myself. They had disabled them so that the techs over there could find out why they ads had stopped working. The ads were playing, they just wasn't paying out the simpoints like they should had been doing. I wished that they had found out what the problem was and had them put back up... :cry: I had gotten a lot of stuff from the store just because of those ads were there. Oh the good old days... :cry:

@lisasc360 Yeah, me too, it was a real pity that they stopped coming, and a big disappointment to a lot of TS3 simmers with a somewhat limited budget. Apparently the tech people didn't manage to fix it, or their bosses didn't think it was important enough, and transferred them to some other project instead. :/
