Me too @Mikezumi i get so emotional when my very first horse even died i left the game for a week i was so broken i couldn't get over the pain what hurt more was when it visited in the game and my sim who loved the horse would interact with it, the love for it's ghost was still there, broke me even more, like a broken love story. My husband said but it's a game. i'm like NO it's not it's Sims life and i love my characters they are my babies.
I completely understand what you mean about attachment to sims. Some (nasty characters i don't care for much) but ones i'm attached to i just can't deal with them dying. My sim self died 3 times in my very first game to my devastation and 2 unicorns brought her back with grim reapers work then the third time she had the flower and gave it to him to my shock, i ended up extending her life and let her live i just couldn't have her die. i get so attached to my sims too they really do become your family. I hate the times they depart it kills me i always have to not touch the game as their ghosts upset me seeing them and their interactions are so beautiful, reminds me of the brave heart theme song, by James Horner ... the love.. it hurts so much
