@bebasim Although I feel sad when my sims die, I don't mind anymore. It's not that I love them less but that I know they are never really gone. It's not uncommon for me to play the same sims over and over in different combinations so as long as they live in my bin, they are mine forever :)
The short time I played Pets on my son's computer, I couldn't allow the family cat to die, though. The cat lived through several generations of the family and would have lived longer if the save didn't become unplayable due to bloat.
My son knows how I feel about my sims and when I make noises he turns to me and says "What did your sims do now?". He probably thinks I am crazy but he humours me ;)
