The next day June found out that Bell had a little biting problem,
and she taught Marky to hunt.
It didn't prove very useful, though. She had high hopes when she heard of a dog once digging up an entire space rock, but all Marky ever found was a snakeskin and a chip bag. Oh well.
As if things weren't looking down enough, June discovered that Liberty had been eating some of her plants! Two of them, actually.
And that was a lot when you only had eight to begin with.
She had to do something else to earn money. The plants weren't growing fast enough, and June only had about 30 simoleons in her pocket.
Fishing wouldn't be too bad. But she knew that the time she spent fishing she could be taking care of her horses. Liberty would be a busy mom soon and-- wait...
...were those...
BUGS! A quick fix to the problem! No matter how much money they were worth, they were at least worth something. June dropped her fishing rod and raced over to them. They didn't look very rare, but even five simoleons would help!
...If she had caught them, that is.
Things were just getting worse and worse. As June trudged back home she was beginning to consider just calling this whole thing off. Maybe she wasn't fit for this challenge. She had heard it was difficult, but she hadn't expected it to be this hard! Her self-pity was soon interrupted when she spotted something.
A crow! Okay, okay, okay...she could do this. She knew that would be worth a good bit.
"Come on little guy," she cooed, "I just wanna catch you and sell you for a lot of moneeeey! Just help me out, please?"
"YES!" A little over 500 bucks was pocketed that day, and June was definitely happy about that.
And she was even happier when she got home to find that Liberty's newest foal had been born!
She was named Lola, and she was born with the traits Nervous, Hates Jumping, and Untrained. She would be even harder to train than Bell, and yet June seemed a lot happier with this one.
