Just saw the sims 4 rewards thread.

I believe that special offer was valid at one time but it expired quite a while ago.

yeah, i already knew what the rewards were, just clicked it anyway, found it funny to be empty cause i dont personally find it rewarding myself lol

Even though the link led to no where, I believe you still can get the rewards as I just got mine right after I had downloaded TS4 for free back in May. I have all of the lamps that was listed as I have all of the TS3 EPs... :) If I remember right, I had to go and get them through the Sims 4 loading screen... :)

And then if you have the base as well as all the EP's, you also get this llama/freezer bunny/plumbob statue... :)

I lost interest in the sims 4 a long time ago, though i still tried to play. I just never realized how much til the latest ugly update pushed me even farther over the fence.

the new rebranding / marketing worked so well, on the day of the update i bought 2 new Expansion Packs and re-installed the game (for the sims 3) lol

@king_of_simcity7 I had alot of hope for sims 4 back then, even got emotional with the announcement trailer with everyone looking at the sky.
I've been excited with each new pack announcement and always followed them closely even as disappointed as i was.
I've always held out hope that sims 4 would someday become what i need, but even more i was trying to patiently wait for a sims 5.

but more and more i realized it 4 never was gonna be a true successor to the sims 3, and i also heard rumors recently that the sims 4 is gonna go the way of windows 10 and stick arround indefinitely with more and more updates and DLC rather than a sims 5. welp, there's the straw that broke the camels back.

just wish the sims 3 ran better, i would have been back here much sooner. im still having the same dilemna, but plan to do some upgrades hopefully by the end of the year.

@lisasc360 unless your main enjoyment is making sims, your not missing much, then again if you really like the sims 3 and you did play 4, you'd be missing alot. all comes down to perspective i guess lol.

there is some things sims 4 does better, but without a good base game, it doesnt matter much, it wont make up for it.

I've just installed TS4 from that promo in May. I got all the lights. I believe, since I didn't have much anticipation, I'm having a good time with it.

I don't see TS4 as a way to substitute TS3. It's just another game in the same genre. Some buildings and ideas are cool and I may create them in the other game. However it's obvious that my sims live in Sunset Valley.

I may buy one or two packs because of the fun I'm having with the current base game. Although I actually intend to get more simpoints for my TS3 first.

thats another thing i missed, having a sims store with so much content and additional worlds.

sims 4 just feels like it went against everything they ever stood for. it always felt like this is your game, do what you want with it. then sims 4 came along and it doesnt feel like its our game anymore. like desiging your own clothing, furniture, etc.

now they say play with life, but to me it just doesnt feel alive. everyone just does random walkby's with no purpose. things sims do just feel like random animations rather than purpose. to me it feels like just using that phrase makes the rest of the franchise look bad. if i was new and felt that empty feeling i felt without playing previous games, i would think wow.. you call this life? i'd hate to see what the previous games were like.

idk, thats just me. its really disappointing, i used to think this franchise was so exciting to play. like when each game was current. not saying they arent anymore. just saying i found 4 more exciting waiting for each new pack than i did to actually play it.

btw.. i love how peaceful it is around these sims 3 forums lol. i never came around here before

The sims 3 create a sims is gonna take me alot of getting used to again. i got spoiled with the one from 4. i made a few sims from looking at pictures. as much as i am disappointed with the game, the cas is a pretty amazing tool. too bad it doesnt have more to offer. here is a self sim i did, though it looks more like me when i was younger. i see enough of old me when i look in the mirror, dont need that in my game lol.
