That was my original post actually GraceyManor. I've been playing Sims since #1 and all of my houses have been boxes. I originally posted about how to have a one level home that was nice and functional. That got me to a page where I found a lovely home Sandraelle had created. She did top down pictures where I could easily copy the design and ended up with my first house I'm proud of. It's got problems for sure but it's the nicest home I've ever had in my Sims games.
Read back in the thread to find the link I eventually ended up on. I have limited play time only playing a few hours on the weekends usually and it took me literal months to create that house. My legacy family was in suspended (non)animation out in the yard. *laughs*
