Do your Sim's traits have anything at all to do with jellybean death? I have one Sim who if I place a jellybean tree in his house wants to do nothing but eat jellybeans. No matter how many he eats, no death. He has turned blue and yellow though but that's about all. He has the brave trait, also athletic and daredevil.
