Do your Sim's traits have anything at all to do with jellybean death? I have one Sim who if I place a jellybean tree in his house wants to do nothing but eat jellybeans. No matter how many he eats, no death. He has turned blue and yellow though but that's about all. He has the brave trait, also athletic and daredevil.
The traits may make him more (or less) interested in the jellybean bush, but I'm pretty sure the chance of a black one is 1 in 100 for each bean for everyone once they get one. That doesn't mean if they survived the first 99 beans that the 100th one will be black, each draw is independent of the ones before it.
Just like it is entirely possible (although not all that likely) to flip a coin and get heads 100 times in a row even though the chance of tails is 1 in 2 each time.
Yeah ... The probability question is always fun to mess with ... Like your example of the 50/50 chance on any coin toss.
But sometimes (like the jelly bean probability) ... It is good to remember my favorite question.
What do you call the person who graduates last in their class at medical school ... Doctor.
One of those jelly beans is going to kill you sooner or later ... >:)
