Hello. I was hoping some of you, that use custom skins and eyes, would like to share some opinions and recommendations on the ones that you use. I'm finding it overwhelming to wade through all the different ones online and it's difficult to know what all CC someone is using and what custom lighting and other things I might be seeing in their pictures if they didn't specify and the threads like 7 years old or something so I can't ask. I'm really only trying to fix one thing. I already have a custom skin installed that's supposed to just be a light touch up of the EA default and the only complaint I have is that the lips look...a little dead. So if you know anything that can add natural looking lips that would be fantastic, I usually make male sims btw. I don't mind the sims eyes but I guess they could be better so I'm open to suggestions for there also.I'd really appreciate it :smile:

What skin are you using? I like a very plain skin because I like to layer makeup for the look I want. The skin I use is Mango Smoothie. I like the lips on this skin although they can look a little pale on some sims, in which case I use lipstick. I can't remember what male lipsticks I have but most are dry lipsticks. Here's a sim wearing Mango Smoothie skin with makeup but the lips untouched. Would it be possible for you to show a pic of what look you are aiming for otherwise you will just get recommendations based on personal taste and not necessarily what you are looking for.

@Mikezumi I'm not sure how to describe other than not the doll like lips that are the default. Something that looks like real lips. The lips in my pic above look really bad on a natural blonde or redhead. I really like the one that you suggested and what's nice about this skin is that it's not too sticky looking. A lot of skins I found around where really shiny which I didn't find appealing.

I use a variety on non default skins because I like my sims to have a variedty of different looks. I often use one of the Kurasobernia skins, especially the freckled varieties. Another favourite is versions of ESkin Fresh. And I use Mango Smoothie as well as others. But all are non default.

@Satanu_Reeves I also keep away from the shiny skins which is why I love Mango Smoothie so much. I use the non-default of the Mango Smoothie because I like to use different skins for different looks. For my default skin, I use Kurasoberina Primer which is a lovely, non shiny skin which has nice lips also.

The guy you pictured has quite shiny lips so you would probably need lipstick to replicate that look as I can't think of any skins that I have seen that have such pink lips. Use a good default replacement like Mango Smoothie or Kurasoberina Primer and you will be so happy with how your sims look you won't even care if the lips aren't pink ;)

Rock the Sims Italy has a lovely skin - A Matter of Skin - which I use for a specific look but I wouldn't recommend it for all sims.
