Make-up reverts back, new changes won't stick
I been looking everywhere for an answer to how to fix this problem, it happens with any eyeshadow I pick when starting to create a sim and If I start changing the make up or even jewellery it reverts ...

This has been a problem with Sims 4 on console, and I believe there have been bug reports in it over in the help section.
Edit: if it is the Sims 4 issue I'm thinking of (rather than a Sims 3 issue) then here is the open bug report:
