Male hair on female sims.

Is there any way to put the male hair on female sims? I've been trying to create a simself, but I have really short hair. None of the short female hairstyles quite work, but a few of the male hairst...

:P Also incase you do not have your game set up to accept CC or mods. Here is the link to a step by step guide on how to do it.
