Breaking Up Is Hard To Do
Joseph texts Alice when he arrives back in town and wants to know if she is still speaking to him. Alice texts him back and tells him she has to speak with him tonight. Joseph tells her he is tired and wants to sleep. Alice insists on meeting him and he finally agrees to meet her downtown.
Alice walks up and down the street while she waits for him thinking about what to say, how to explain. Joseph arrives and reaches out to hug her. Alice backs away and quickly tells him "Thank you for coming. I know you are tired, but, I need to explain this tonight."
Joseph interrupts "I can explain what happened and how I forgot about the prom."
"Don't even go there Joseph!" exclaims Alice. "Forgetting the prom doesn't even matter anymore. Please don't interrupt me again. You'll have your chance to say whatever you want in a few minutes."
