After the deed....he held her hand for three seconds but that was it..no cuddling, no nothing, Thornton just popped out of bed and got dressed, Pearl got dressed and tried to talk to him, he was fairly distant.

Pearl stared blankly..."What the he*ll did we just do?!?" she was expecting more somehow, it just felt so empty..

After not hearing from Thornton for a couple days Pearl was getting worried. Pearl called Thornton and told him to meet her by the beach, Pearl again tried to talk to Thornton who seemed to be giving her the cold shoulder..

"I haven't...just because I don't want to talk to you every five minutes doesn't mean I'm ignoring you!" Thornton said flatly.
