Misunderstood (A Jared Frio story...Sims 3)

-You captured Bessie's reaction very well and it was nice of Caroline to comfort her even though they haven't always been on the best of terms.
-Aww, Xander. :cry: He JUST found out who his real dad was an now he's gone....Glad that he has a wonderful memory of him. <3
(Btw does he have the "dramatic" trait or whatever it's called? That's why he fainted? ;) )
-I see Jared being a real sweetie right now, comforting Xander and his Mom. Even Connor. <3

-Awwww, funerals are so hard. :( Most funerals I've been to they would celebrate the person's life by talking about their accomplishments and sharing stories. There would be laughs and such. But at the end of it, there were always tears. Even though I have the comfort of knowing there's an afterlife (Heaven), I still greatly fear death and living without the ones I love. :cry:
-Anyway, I hope everyone can heal quickly from Joe's passing too, especially Jared...

Good nelly that's a lot of Joes! :lol: So how many extras of each character do you usually have?

Misunderstood Part 20:

It was a month after Joe's death and things were slowly getting back to normal, though normal was not what it was before his death.

Bessie and Xander were spending a lot of time with Caroline and spent quite a bit of time at the Frio household. Buster was invited over most of the time too. Connor thought it was chaos and preferred to either have his nose in a book or to hide in his room writing stories on his computer.

Jared was withdrawn and refused to talk to anyone except Connor and sometimes Paulo, he would occasionally mutter a "hi" to Xander when his family visited.

He took great pride in the fish tank, as he and Joe had bought it together and picked out what fish would go into it, they both agreed goldfish were the most wonderful personable of fish. Their goldfish were all named and answered to their names when Jared or Joe talked to them.

He was feeding them and noticed Eliza floating on the top, this brought Joe's death flooding back to the forefront of his mind...he scooped her out...

and started crying then and there, he didn't care who saw him, he missed his father so much... :'(

Jared had to get out of the house, he ran and ran way up to the fishing spot he and Paulo discovered one day, it was nice and private.

He built a fire in the fire pit and sat there and thought about his father, he regretted terribly not being a better son. He and Joe fought all the time, as Jared had a horrible temper....his father did too. He was still very mad about Jamie, how could his father cheat on his mother with Jamie's mom, it killed him that Jamie was his half sister, he really liked her....more than he should like his half sister.

All these thoughts buzzed through Jared's head, he couldn't deal with is all anymore and just wanted to sleep, he felt so tired...

A week later it was Xander's Birthday and everyone came out to celebrate, Jared was not in the mood to celebrate, he just wanted to be left alone.

Bessie looks shocked that her boy is now officially a YA! (YA to me starts at age 19)

First order of business, get a drink! Not quite legal but no one cared.

Jared told his mom he wanted to go home, he was tired...he was actually feeling a bit dizzy and not quite himself from the drinks.

Caroline told him to take a taxi strait home and get some rest, they would be home later, she knew had snuck some drinks but decided a lecture about underage drinking was a talk for another time (like when Jared was sober!).

Jared spotted the new family that had moved into the house across the street as the cab dropped him off, he decided to go make introductions, the drink was making him braver.

He got closer to the girl who seemed around his age who was playing with her kicky bag. He cleared his throat and waited for her to finish playing...

The girl looked up at Jared as she gripped his hand in introduction Jared felt his heart do a flop, the girl was beautiful....

He suddenly felt his face go red and his hands starting to sweat...he sputtered out "I'm Jared Frio...."

She seemed amused by Jared's tongue tied introduction...and replied "Hi Jared, I'm Pearl, Pearl Yang"

They spent the next hour chatting about everything and nothing..

The subject of Joe did come up as Pearl had read about the accident in the newspaper, but Jared looked so stressed when she started asking about his father she dropped the subject quickly.

This update killed me more so than the funeral, which was more annoying than emotional...trying to get everyone together and mourn all at once without changing into work clothes or bathing suits as the "graveyard" was really in the Alto's yard!

The pictures of Jared crying by the fish tank literally had me bawling! That has only happened to me one other time, when I finally finished Entwined, I cried for about 15 minutes after I posted the ending.

It was Joe!!! I refuse to delete him, so he disappears when he might be in a shot he shouldn't be in. ;) . I didn't realize it but he (his stunt double ;) ) was in Caroline's car when he had the accident....this is his real car.

@Charlottesmom Awesome update! It is good to see the families still bonding, well, as best they can. That was heartbreaking with Jared and the fish tank. :( I want to just hug him! Pearl is a cutie teen!! That is a super surprise. :) The unicorn is gorgeous. Cheeky Joe driving around when he is supposed to be dead! :lol: You really are just a marshmallow even though you write sad stories. :) Oh...btw, Xander is very handsome as a YA. I want to see more of that! :love:

@Charlottesmom , I just caught up on the last two updates. It was so heartwarming that Caroline visited Bessie and comforted her! I laughed when I saw the screenshot of Connor changing into his bathing costume during the funeral, but after reading your explanation it makes sense that he did that. :smiley: Teenage Pearl Yang is so adorable. I like the family you made for her too! Her and Jared's meeting was very sweet, but ... it can't end well, can it, if Jared has to end up mean-spirited and single? I have a feeling his troubles are not over!
