My way is to put the 8 most important in one household. In the new game I move everyone out who’s supposed to live somewhere else and in edit town I put in all the other households I saved to the bin. Then I repair the family relationships of those households using Mastercontroller. You don’t have to do that for each and everyone of them. As soon as you repair a sister-brother relationship for instance, the game understands they share the same parents.
Edit: and indeed, the household I’m going to play has the graves of the ancestors in their inventory.
