Not sure what kind of CC you're looking for but if you want, you could dig through this thread where the community recommended skin, hair and eye mods until my sims were ridiculously good looking.

I use tons of Mods from Simsasylum,Simlogical,NRaas and MTS along with a few others I needed to fix glitches and also use awesomemod to fix the glitchy automated school assignment by having it disabled with AM's auto-assignment override enabled in the config file becuase I love playing larger worlds and found automated school assignments broke the routing and caused major game issues with schools.

I would want to try AM, Zerbu's career mod, Vector etc for instance.

I read this though, which made me curious:
