@IreneSwift I fully understand the need for a fence to keep out the paparazzi. The only way to get rid of them is to turn off the celebrity system- I've tried killing them, but you can kill off the entire town's population all in a single day and yet you will still somehow have paparazzi!!!
Yeah, I really hope rebuilding the fence will work for you. If not, I'll try and come up with some more ideas. If it doesn't work, please post screenshots of your current fence and gate setup In build Mode so that I can see the grid, please.
