@Nabril Thank you for all your efforts to find a solution for this issue for me, even if there actually isn't going to be one. I will try your new suggestions and let you know how it works. Since the identical fence and gate worked just fine with my sims' former home, I'm not surprised you weren't able to duplicate the issue. I'm wondering though, did you use a house without a foundation, like my sims' current home? The old one was on a foundation, which is the only difference between the two that might have anything to do with anything.
I actually still have the celebrity gate in my sims' household inventory. Would using the same one work OK for your suggestion, or should I use a new one?
