Need help deciding story ideas :)

Supernaturals would give you plenty of scope for your plot. You could decide to make it a love story along the lines of Romeo and Juliet, where you have a werewolf engaged to a witch and both families strongly objecting to the marriage. It doesn't have to have a sad ending but you could move it on to generation 2 where the family is a mixture of werewolves and witches all living under the same roof. Difficult to get along if they don't appreciate the others skills and talents.
